01 · Build

A new firm. A proper digital foundation.

Starting with a basic site, a lawyer profile and an email address? MOST brings the website, practice-area content, local search, consultation path and measurement together from the start.

BC legal marketing

Accurate practice positioning. Evidence behind claims. Clear service information. Not promises about the outcome of a case.

BC’s professional rules restrict misleading or unverifiable claims, unjustified expectations and unauthorised specialist designations. We design content and campaigns around those constraints, with the firm responsible for professional approval.

BC Code, Chapter 4: marketing of legal services ↗Policy-aware design, not legal advice or a compliance certification.

Vancouver + Metro Vancouver

Local to the people you serve.

For solo, small and mid-size firms across family, employment, personal injury, criminal defence, immigration, wills and estates, corporate, real estate and litigation.

Where the client base warrants it, MOST can structure multilingual content and local search from the start. West Vancouver and other Metro markets can be considered within the firm’s genuine service area.

Before you begin

01How do I get more clients for my law firm in Vancouver?

Start with the practice areas you want to grow and the firm's capacity to accept work. MOST checks how people find the firm, what the website explains and what happens after an enquiry. We then prioritise the website, search, campaigns or intake improvements that address the actual gap.

02How much does law firm marketing cost in BC?

MOST’s published typical investments include a focused custom website at $5,500–$8,500 CAD, an SEO foundation at $3,500–$6,000 CAD and a single-channel paid-growth setup at $3,500–$5,500 CAD. These are separate project ranges, not a bundle or a quote. Optional ongoing SEO is $1,800–$4,500 CAD / month. Media spend, software and AI usage are separate where applicable; the firm’s scope determines the proposal.

03What does law firm SEO include?

MOST’s law firm SEO work starts with the practice areas, clients and locations the firm actually serves. The scope can include a technical website audit, practice-area content, lawyer profiles, Google Business Profile improvements, useful internal links and an ethical review process. We track search visibility and consultation enquiries where the firm’s systems permit. The firm approves legal content, and rankings or new matters are not guaranteed.

04How long does law firm SEO take to show results?

It depends on the starting point and the practice area. Technical fixes, Business Profile accuracy and a clearer consultation path can change local visibility within weeks. Content depth and external references usually take longer, and a competitive practice area takes longer again. MOST reports leading indicators such as impressions, profile views, calls and consultation requests rather than rankings alone, because those are what the firm can act on. No agency can promise a date or a position.

05Is SEO or Google Ads better for a law firm?

They answer different problems. Paid search buys visibility immediately for a defined budget and can be pointed at one practice area that has capacity, but legal clicks are among the most expensive on Google, so the practice page and the intake path decide whether that spend is worth anything. SEO builds slowly and keeps working when spend stops. Both land on the same pages, so the website and Business Profile usually come first. Our lead calculator shows the arithmetic for a given budget.

06Why does my firm rank in one neighbourhood but not another?

Local search results depend partly on the searcher’s location, as well as relevance and prominence. In MOST’s 12 September 2026 snapshot, the query ‘lawyer’ returned 18 different top-three listings across six Metro Vancouver locations. That is an observation from one sample, not a prediction for every practice area or search.

07How does a law firm get into the Google Maps local pack?

MOST works on an accurate, eligible Google Business Profile, suitable categories, practice and location information, website relevance and an ethical review process. We measure visibility from relevant locations. A profile or SEO project does not guarantee a top-three position.

08Do I need a separate page for each practice area?

Distinct services usually need enough space to explain who the firm helps, which lawyers handle the work, the process and the next step. In MOST’s September 2026 snapshot, firms ranking on practice-area searches generally had a page dedicated to that practice rather than a single services list. We structure pages around the firm’s real practice, not a list of keywords it cannot substantiate.

09Do I need separate pages for Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey or Richmond?

Only when each page has genuine local relevance and useful, distinct information. A real office or a meaningful service difference can warrant its own page. In the same snapshot, the few firms appearing in more than one city’s results had a separate office and its own Business Profile there. MOST does not recommend duplicating thin pages for every city or creating ineligible Business Profiles.

10Will a website redesign lose my law firm’s search rankings?

It can, and that risk is manageable. MOST reduces it by auditing useful URLs and content, planning redirects, preserving relevant page signals, checking indexability and monitoring the relaunch. No redevelopment can guarantee unchanged rankings, and not every old page should be retained.

11Which intake and practice management systems work with a custom law firm website?

A custom site can sit in front of the tools your firm already uses, including systems such as Clio, Clio Grow, Lawmatics, PracticePanther or MyCase. We first verify the available APIs, account permissions, plan limits and data requirements. Integration depth depends on the platform; a listed tool is not a claim of a native connector or partnership.

12Can AI help with law firm intake and follow-up?

Yes, within a carefully scoped administrative workflow. It can use approved firm information, route requests, coordinate consultations and assist staff with follow-up. Legal advice, conflicts decisions and engagement acceptance remain with responsible people. We define privacy, access, retention and escalation requirements before connecting client information.

13Can a Canadian law firm advertise on ChatGPT?

As checked on 14 September 2026, OpenAI’s advertising policy permits legal-services ads in the United States only and prohibits them elsewhere, Canada included. MOST does not offer ChatGPT legal-services ads for Canadian firms under that policy. Organic AI-search visibility is a separate service and does not guarantee a recommendation.

14What do the BC legal marketing rules allow a firm to claim?

Marketing should accurately describe the firm’s services and support its claims with evidence. BC Code Chapter 4 restricts misleading or unverifiable claims, unjustified expectations and specialist designations unless authorised. The firm remains responsible for professional review of its marketing. This is not legal advice.

15Do I have to buy every service at once?

No. MOST can build one part or connect the whole system. An audit may point to a website rebuild, practice-area SEO, a paid-search pilot or a specific intake workflow. The sequence should fit the firm’s priorities, capacity and budget.
